Unlike the majority of online slots, Avalon Gold does not use paylines. Winning formations are created when three or more matching payout symbols land on adjacent reels. The row on which they land is irrelevant, so each spin has a minimum of 4,096 ways to win. 

The black-haired knight is the slot’s most valuable symbol, paying between 1.5x and 5x whenever three or more land on adjoining reels. Purple, green, and blue knight symbols pay the next most valuable payouts, respectively paying a maximum of 3x, 2.5x, and 2x.

Avalanche Feature 

The Avalanche Feature is activated after every winning combination. Winning symbols fall off the grid while an additional row is added. New symbols fill in the empty spaces, thus creating new win opportunities. Subsequent winning combinations further expand the grid to a maximum of eight rows. 

Big Symbols 

Any spin during the Avalon Gold base and bonus rounds can lead to Big Symbols. There are three types of symbols, namely Super, Mega, and Epic, and they create symbols with a size of 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4 respectively. 

Expanding Wilds 

You’ll find two types of wild symbols in Avalon Gold. Both substitute payout symbols to complete or grow winning combinations. In addition, expanding wilds can expand upward across a reel when the symbol in front of them is part of the winning formation. 

Avalon Free Drops 

Dropping three or more bonus symbols on any spin triggers between 10 and 25 Avalon Free Drops. During this bonus, the grid size increases by one row for every winning drop, leading to a maximum of 262,144 possible winning combinations.

Avalon Mystery Features 

A mystical star symbol is Avalon Gold’s mystery symbol. At the end of each drop, mystery symbols can either transform into random payout symbols or any of the feature symbols. The feature activates when five mystery symbols land on the grid. 

Once activated, feature symbols unleash their power onto the grid. Coin symbols feature a base stake multiplier and can be collected by Collect symbols. Multiplier symbols can increase the value of Coin symbols while Swipers increase the coin value by one. 

The Redrop symbol, meanwhile, adds a further symbol drop and reactivates all feature symbols in view.
