A round of Book of Slingo starts with 11 spins, but more can be added with special symbols and optional features. On each spin, the five reels below the grid randomly display numbers, special symbols, or blanks. When numbers on the grid match the ones on the reel below them, they are automatically marked off.

Completing a full line of marked-off numbers is called forming a Slingo. Every Slingo is made up of five numbers and can be a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.
