    How to Play

    Football Hero is a 5X3 soccer themed slot game that features 5 bonus features and 6 base game modifiers. One feature is unlocked from the start of game, three features are locked and can be unlocked via an end of feature bonus reel, and the other can be unlocked via in-game ‘achievements’.

    Please note: This game is connected to the CORE JACKPOT BONUS (CJB) and 7% of the total RTP is allocated to the CJB.

    Each press of PLAY will action each reel to spin to a random position. Wins are paid for matching 3, 4 or 5 of-a-kind symbols and also 2 of-a-kind Wild and Logo symbols. 

    Line wins pay left to right. All line win symbols must appear on a played line and on consecutive reels, beginning with the far left.

    All wins achieved on different winlines will be shown and paid to the player.

    The Wild symbol can substitute for ALL other symbols, EXCEPT scatter symbols, to help create a line win. Using a Wild symbol to complete a line does not incur any extra multiplier other than the win for the symbol(s) it substitutes. Only the highest paying win on each line will be counted.

    The game plays like a standard slot with the bonus trigger symbols on the first, middle and last reel to trigger the bonus feature rounds.

    Game Rules

    Set Your Stake:

    On the left of the screen, the player can choose their stake by pressing the + and - buttons. The stake will be shown in the Total Stake meter.


    Modifiers:During normal game play, the following modifiers will, at random, alter the reel presentation and may give the player an enhanced win:

    Sticker Book:During the main game, this ‘random modifier’ will occasionally trigger after the player presses play, the reels will spin longer than usual and the following happens: Football stickers cover every position on the reels. During the spin, these football stickers start to peel off and, as they do so, some of them will reveal ‘Wilds’ underneath. When the reels come to a halt, they will pay any connecting wins.

    Subs:During the main game, this ‘random modifier’ will occasionally trigger after the player presses spin, the reels will come to a halt and the following happens: Any football shirts (low paying symbols) can be changed (substituted) for higher paying symbols.

    Free Kick:This ‘random modifier’ will trigger a football to be fired across the reels in an arc trajectory. Where the football’s path crosses directly, any symbol position on the reels will turn those positions ‘Wild’. As the reels come to a halt, the resulting outcome will create a trail of Wilds across the reels.

    Half Time:The wins in view will be paid to the player but then the referee’s whistle blows and the whole reel set will do a mirror flip. Any further subsequent wins, far left to right due to the flip of the reels, will be paid to the player.

    Red Card:During the main game, the reels will do a longer spin and the referee’s whistle blows, causing all of the low-paying football shirts to be removed from the reels. The spin is slower than normal to show the player that the reels now only contain high paying symbols. Any wins due to the removal of the low paying symbols will be paid to the player.

    Penalty:The referee’s whistle blows and the reel background becomes a goal net with a colossal football Wild symbol target covering 2x2 symbol positions. This moves around the whole reel and eventually comes to rest as the reels come to a halt.

    Bonus Feature Rounds:Once three bonus feature symbols land in view, they will trigger the bonus features. The player will be presented with 5 ‘branded’ feature bonus icons. Initially, there will be one ‘branded’ feature bonus icon unlocked, with 4 of them locked. As the player progresses through the game, they have the chance to unlock further icons via the end of feature ‘Bonus Reel’. Once the player has two or more ‘branded’ feature bonus icons unlocked, they can choose which bonus feature they want to play. Each bonus feature will be RTP neutral, so there is no choice advantage, but will have different volatility which will affect the delivery of wins. The 5 'branded' Bonus Features are as follows:

    Passing Wilds:The player will be awarded 10 Free Spins. A Wild symbol (football) will appear on all 3 rows of the slot and move randomly from right to left and vice versa per spin simultaneously. The Wilds (represented as footballs) will bounce left and right off each side of the reel apertures, crossing all 5 reels, coming to rest on one of the 5 reel positions. All 3 Wild footballs are continually in play, possibly creating wins per spin. Bonus scatter symbols are NOT present during Free Spins for this feature.

    Home or Away:The player will be awarded 10 Free Spins. In this bonus, the ‘goal’ will be the middle position of reel 1 and the middle position of reel 5. Should a player get a Wild symbol land in either position (or both), it will be a ‘GOAL’ and they will be rewarded randomly either a cash reward or additional Free Spins. Prior to the bonus starting, the player needs to select a goal end to score in (home or away) and if the Wild lands and scores in the goal selected, the player will get double the reward (either double the cash or double the extra Free Spins). For clarity, any Wilds scoring a goal in the non-selected goal will still contribute to the player’s Free Spins wins. Bonus scatter symbols are NOT present during Free Spins for this feature.

    Wild Formation:The player will be awarded 10 Free Spins with ‘sticky’ stacked reels. Any Wilds or stacks of Wilds that appear on the reels will stick (lock) in place for any remaining spins. This will increase the potential of larger wins as the Free Spins progress. Bonus scatter symbols are NOT present during Free Spins for this feature.

    90 Minutes:The player is awarded a pseudo ‘90 Minutes’ of Free Spins time. For each Free Spin played, a random amount of time is added to the board. When the clock reaches 90 minutes, the feature ends. A multiplier is displayed per spin, starting at 1 and incrementing by 1 after every spin.

    Golden Goal:This feature can only be unlocked when a player achieves all 9 achievements in the ‘Trophy Room’.

    Trophy Room: In-game achievements to unlock the ‘Golden Goal’ feature. The ‘Golden Goal’ feature will only become unlocked when a player has completed all 9 of the in-game achievements in the infamous ‘Trophy Room’. The ‘Trophy Room’ is represented as the player’s trophy cabinet, which has bespoke trophies for each achievement awarded for completing in-game events. To complete the ‘Trophy Room’ achievements and unlock the final feature, the player must complete the following:

    *All achievements will be based upon the highest paying win on each line with ‘Wild’ wins taking priority.

    ** x5 ‘Wilds’ will not trigger the get a 5 of a kind Top Symbol win achievement.

    The player will be presented with a football pitch. There will be a grid overlaid on the pitch from an overhead view with footballs on the left of the grid. The grid of 50 squares will be presented as 10 x 5. The player is prompted to pick any of the flashing football squares on the very left side of the grid. The idea is to dribble the ball across the pitch to get to within a shooting distance of the ‘goal’ which contains a big win on the other (right) side. The ‘Big Win’ will be dictated by the multiplier value at the back of the goal. On every move by the player, the value of the ‘goal’ will scroll down. Once a grid square is selected, the player will reveal 1 of the following 3 items;

    • A multiplier value.
    • A ‘TACKLE!’ (which tackles you and ends the progress towards the goal).
    • A ‘SHOOT!’ (which fires the ball towards the goal).

    If a multiplier is revealed, this is added to a ‘Multiplier’ meter and the player is prompted to select any squares on the next column to the right to progress across the grid left to right.

    If the player reveals ‘Shoot!’ and the ball misses, they will be awarded a consolation cash prize. If the player reveals a ‘Shoot!’ and the ball goes into the net, they get the ‘Golden Goal’ prize, which is dictated by the win displayed on the hoarding at the back of the net.

    The player keeps picking squares until they get ‘tackled’ or they ‘shoot’. Once the game is over, the final multiplier within the ‘Multiplier’ meter is multiplied by the player's base game stake on feature entry and paid to the player.

    Bonus Reel (end of feature wheel)

    At the end of any Free Spins/feature bonus round, prior to the payout completion, the player will be presented with a large ‘reel’. The reel will be populated with icons, based upon the events below. The reel will slowly spin and come to rest. The outcome that is directly in front of the player will be the event that will be awarded to the player. The options a player can receive here are:

    Unlock Feature – This option unlocks the next feature. This will be available until all features are unlocked, at which point the player can choose any of the features to play.

    Bonus Cash – The player is awarded a one-off cash bonus, presented to the player as a cheque.

    Replay – The choice to replay the same feature or collect their winnings from the feature they have just played. Replaying the feature will mean that their feature winnings will be discarded in favour of the new feature outcome.

    Full Time – The player collects what they won and do not get any other end bonus. This will end the feature and return the player to the base game.

    Extra Time – On features 1 to 4, the player gets extra Free Spins or extra time.

    Free Kick – Only on feature 5. If this occurs, the player can continue back in the game from where they were on the pitch and can continue towards the goal until they ‘shoot’ or are ‘tackled’ again. 

    Core Jackpot Bonus

    Please note that this game is connected to the CORE JACKPOT BONUS, (CJB). This game has 7% RTP allocated to the CJB. This is a 7 stage bonus game which can trigger 7 progressive global jackpots which are incremented by ANY Core Gaming content that is designed to plug into this system. This is branded Party Pots

    During any spin on the game, a firework rocket may shoot up from the Party Pots area, located at the bottom of the screen. If this explodes, then the Party Pots feature has been activated.

    In each level, (Party), the player will be prompted to pick from 26 stars. The player can reveal the following:

    • CASH - a cash value that gets added to your Total Win.
    • JACKPOT - win the current progressive amount for the Party in play.
    • COLLECT - ends the Party event.
    • TICKET - gain 3 VIP tickets to be upgraded to the next Party.

    It is possible to be upgraded through all 7 Parties. The Party event is only over if the player finds ‘COLLECT’.

    A progressive pot is only available to be won during the correlating Party ‘pick me’ level.

    Progressive Party Pots: During each standard reel spin, a proportion of the money staked is added to each cashpot. There are seven progressive pots:

    House Party Pot: seeded at £50

    Pool Party Pot: seeded at £100

    Club Party Pot: seeded at £200

    Beach Party Pot: seeded at £500

    Boat Party Pot: seeded at £1,000

    Concert Party Pot: seeded at £5,000

    Vegas Party Pot: seeded at £15,000

    The progressive Party Pots consists of a fixed minimum amount ,which gradually increases by a percentage of funds inputted into the game until it is won. When a Party Pot is won, it is reset to the seed amount and begins to rise again.

    The progressive Party Pots are available in "Real Play" only.

    Winning a progressive Party Pot neither contributes to, or is affected by, the daily cumulative winning’s limit.

    All players contribute 0.1% of each bet placed to each progressive pot on every game (0.7% in total).

    Party Pots progressive pots payout will be rounded down to 2 decimal points.

    All players are eligible to win the progressive Party Pots on every game.

    It is not possible for two players to simultaneously win the Party Pots. The Party Pot is locked when it is being won. This means that no other bets will be accepted for it and only one player at a time is able to win it.

    In the event of a non-responsive game or problem during a draw, the game will repeat the incomplete draw and display the result to the player when the game is next launched.

    In the event of equipment failure or planned/unplanned terminations, progressive Party Pot parameters, (including cashpot values and incremental percentages), are fully restored with identical parameters, after restart.

    System malfunction voids all pays and plays.


    Pressing the rotating arrow icon above the Spin button will open a dialogue panel from which the player can access the autoplays adjuster. If autoplay is not approved in the jurisdiction, this button will not be available.

    Pressing the ‘settings’ button, on the right-hand side of the base game screen, will open the Paytable information. The player can press the left and right arrow buttons to access all the game information. Pressing the ‘X’ button will return the player to the main game interface.

    Accessing the Paytable will allow the player to toggle the sounds on/off, via the settings button located on the left-hand side of the paytable. On a device that is compatible, the player can also turn on/off the vibrate function. On launch of the game, the default setting will be ON for both of these options.

    Terms and Conditions


    Only the highest win per bet line is paid.

    Line wins will pay from left to right only.

    Adjustment of the stake will dynamically alter the awards in the paytable.

    Game Recovery

    In the event of a game in real play being interrupted, (i.e. started but not completed due to connectivity issues or accidentally closing the browser, etc.), depending on the previous state of the game, it will either resume from the point of the last spin or display the outcome of the game already in play.

    Any winnings will be correctly credited to the player account and will be exact according to the result prior to the game being interrupted.

    All results are predetermined.

    General Information

    Inclusive of the Core Jackpot ‘Party Pots’ bonus. This game has a theoretical Return to Player (RTP) based on players strategy of 91.94% - 95.00%.

    The maximum payout in one spin in this game including the ‘Party Pots’ feature is capped at 250,000, excluding the ‘Party Pots’ progressive Jackpots.

    If a player’s average stake is applied to a bonus round which gives out fractional payments, these will be truncated to 2 decimal places.
