Royal Blackjack is a CORE Gaming virtual table game based on classic rules but offering a regal twist. This fast-paced and mobile-friendly casino game combines standard gameplay and payouts with the opportunity of placing up to two optional side bets with high-value maximum payouts.
As a virtual table game, you’re in full control of the game’s progress. You can take your time setting your bet or bets and deciding how to play your hand. Moreover, the Royal Blackjack table shares many of the same rules as similar games, so if you’ve played blackjack before, you’ll find this game familiar.
Playing Blackjack Like Royalty
For the most part, Royal Blackjack is played in the same way as other classic blackjack table games. The main objective is to beat the dealer by having a hand value closer to 21 without exceeding it. Depending on your hand, you can take a variety of actions, including hitting, standing, doubling down, or splitting.
To play Royal Blackjack online, you need to complete the following steps:
- Place your bet or bets - To start playing, you must place your main bet. At this stage, you can also decide whether to bet on one or both of the available side bets.
- View your cards - Click “Deal” to receive your first two cards. The dealer’s cards will also be dealt and you’ll be able to view the dealer’s up card to help you take the right actions.
- Side bet results - Any winning side bets will be decided at this stage. Payouts will occur at the end of the round.
- Play your turn - Using the user-friendly interface, decide what actions to take until you stand. If you go bust, you’ll automatically lose the game and will forfeit your main bet. However, you can still win side bets since these are independent of the main result.
- The dealer’s turn - The dealer will play the hand according to the defined rules of the Royal Blackjack table. These include standing on both a hard and soft 17.
- Result - As long as the dealer hasn’t gone bust, the hands are compared and the winning hand is determined.
If the dealer’s up card is an Ace, it can peek to see if it holds a blackjack. Before it does, it offers you the insurance bet that pays 2:1. You can only bet up to 50% of your main wager and you’ll win this bet if the dealer is holding a blackjack.
